By Monday it had fallen apart. Brokered in Uganda, the terms of the latest agreement remain vague, although apparently the idea was to usher in another power-sharing arrangement – much like the version that fell apart in 2016. Much like the last plan, the new deal would also have seen rebel leader Riek Machar returned to the vice presidency.
